A dissertação analisa os projetos criados e implementados por dez organizações da Rede Entregrades, que atuam durante e após a reclusão das pessoas condenadas a pena de prisão com o objetivo de promover e apoiar a sua reinserção social. O objetivo geral foi compreender o trabalho por elas desenvolvido desde a reclusão até à autonomia dos sujeitos. A estratégia de investigação é de natureza qualitativa. Fez-se a pesquisa documental a partir dos documentos das entidades disponíveis online e entrevistas semiestruturadas para recolher os dados e a análise de conteúdo para o seu tratamento. Os resultados relevantes da investigação mostram o impacto das políticas neoliberais na penalidade, na desresponsabilização do Estado na promoção da reinserção social das pessoas em reclusão, no apoio posterior junto delas, das suas famílias e da comunidade. O trabalho de promoção e acompanhamento no processo de reinserção fica a cargo da sociedade civil e das suas organizações, através de projetos financiados e do forte apoio do trabalho voluntário e, portanto, desprofissionalizado. A sua ação desenvolve-se nos domínios mais importantes da sustentabilidade e dignidade humana: habitação, emprego, saúde, formação, cultura e laços familiares e sociais. / The dissertation analyzes the projects created and implemented by ten organizations of the Entregrades Network, which act during and after the reclusion of people sentenced to imprisonment with the aim of promoting and supporting their social reintegration. The general objective was to understand their work from seclusion to the autonomy of the subjects. The research strategy is qualitative in nature. Documentary research was done from the documents of the entities available online and semi-structured interviews to collect the data and content analysis for its treatment. The relevant results of the research show the impact of neoliberal policies on penality, in the lack of responsibility of the state in promoting the social reintegration of people in prison, in the subsequent support to them, their families and the community. The work of promoting and monitoring the reintegration process is the responsibility of civil society and its organizations, through funded projects and strong support from voluntary and, therefore, deprofessionalized work. Its action is developed in the most important areas of sustainability and human dignity: housing, employment, health, training, culture, and family and social ties.
