The dataset is deposited in the Social Sciences Dataset – ISMT Repository (https://repositorio.ismt.pt/items/34856185-a178-40bb-b213-e00ec4aa357c) under controlled access. It is not publicly available because it comprises special-category health data extracted from hospital clinical records, collected retrospectively without individual informed consent. Researchers wishing to access the data should submit the application form available at the repository to investig@ismt.pt. Each request is forwarded to Unidade Local de Saúde de Viseu Dão-Lafões, the data controller, whose prior authorisation is required, and access is further conditional on the signing of a data distribution agreement. The authors did not have special access privileges that others would not have upon following this procedure.
