| dc.description.abstract | Educar um filho é um grande desafio de responsabilidade e exige grandes adaptações e transformações na vida dos pais, sendo que os comportamentos parentais são influenciados por múltiplas causas, nomeadamente as variáveis sociodemográficas. Esta pesquisa visa determinar o nível de stress parental, conhecer o nível de satisfação parental e avaliar o nível de preocupações parentais em mães de crianças/adolescentes diagnosticados com PHDA (Perturbação de Hiperatividade e Défice de Atenção). Para além destes objetivos pretende-se também determinar as características sociodemográficas das mães de filhos com PHDA, verificar a relação existente entre o nível de preocupações parentais e algumas características sociodemográficas das mães com filhos com PHDA e determinar a relação existente entre o nível de stress parental e o nível de satisfação parental em mães de filhos com PHDA. A amostra é constituída por 30 mães de crianças/adolescentes diagnosticados com Perturbação de Hiperatividade e Deficit de Atenção. Para a colheita de dados foi aplicado um questionário sociodemográfico e as escalas de “Satisfação Parental”, “Stress Parental” e “Preocupações Parentais”. Os resultados revelaram que estas mães se sentem satisfeitas parentalmente e que vivenciam preocupações e stress parentais idênticos às restantes mães de crianças com filhos de desenvolvimento típico. Verificou-se que não existem diferenças estatisticamente diferentes significativas entre os níveis de satisfação parental e algumas caraterísticas sociodemográficas. No entanto, o estudo revelou que existe uma moderada correlação estatisticamente significativa negativa entre os níveis de stress parental e os níveis de satisfação parental. / Educating a child is a big challenge of responsibility and requires major adaptations and transformations in the lifes of parents, while parental behaviors are influenced by multiple causes, including sociodemographic variables. This research aims to determine the level of parental stress, knowing the level of parental satisfaction and evaluate the levels of parental stress, in mothers of children / adolescents diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Beyond these objectives, we also intend to determine the sociodemographic characteristics of the mothers of children with ADHD, study the relationship between the level of parental stress and sociodemographic characteristics of mothers with children with ADHD and determine the relationship between the level of parental stress and the level of parental satisfaction in mothers of children with ADHD. The sample consists of 30 mothers of 30 children / adolescents diagnosed with Hyperactivity Disorder and Attention Deficit. For data collection, one demographic questionnaire was applied, as well as scales of “Parental Satisfaction”, “Parental Stress” and “Parental Concern”. The results revealed that this mothers are feeling pleased, when concerning parenthood, and that they experiment identical concerns and stress to mothers of children with typical development. There were not verified statistically significant differences between the levels of parental satisfaction and some sociodemographic issues. Even so, this study revealed a statistically significant negative correlation between the levels of parental stress and the levels of parental satisfaction. | pt_PT |
